Well these three applications, having a priori no connection between them, all benefit from the incredible properties offered by mopane wood from southern Africa. As dense as Mozambique ebony – from 1000 to 1300 kg/m3 – mopane presents warm tones of medium brown to reddish brown which harmonize wonderfully with the sparkling appearance of the silver or nickel-plated keys of our wonderful musical instruments.

In addition to these remarkable mechanical characteristics, mopane manages to enhance this limited series by offering a mellow and warm sound combining softness and brilliance at the same time as powerful and direct projection. This wood species allows you to explore new colors of sound with both very pure pianissimo nuances and wide and open forte but without any saturation. This 2021 mopane limited edition will be offered with the Grand Siècle aesthetic line – already present on the Légende – which elegantly combines the pink gold of the balls and ferrules with silver or nickel-plated keywork.
